    MILWAUKEE, WI — Brady Coulthard, candidate for Wisconsin State Assembly, District 14, proudly announced his campaign’s second slate of endorsements led by State Senator Tim Carpenter and State Representative Sylvia Ortiz-Velez on April 17, 2024.

    The new District 14 provides the City of West Allis new representation in the State Assembly, as well as a portion of the City of Milwaukee that includes the Milwaukee County Zoo and Wisconsin Lutheran College. A small portion of the City of Wauwatosa is represented within District 14. From Greenfield Park to State Fair Park, the new District 14 is on the rise and Brady couldn’t be more proud. The primary election for the 14th Assembly District will be on August 13th, 2024.

  • MILWAUKEE, WI — Brady Coulthard, a small business owner, seventh-generation Wisconsinite, gun violence prevention advocate, and progressive community organizer announced his campaign for District 14 of the Wisconsin State Assembly Monday. The new District 14 widely represents the City of West Allis and portions of the City of Milwaukee and the City of Wauwatosa.

    “The new District 14 provides the greater West Allis community and all of its small businesses new representation in the State Assembly. With this change comes opportunity,” Coulthard said. “We can make choices about what we want Wisconsin to look like next year, in five years, and even twenty years from now. I have a track record of working with anyone for the sake of serving my community, including helping to move legislation forward in Madison. We need innovative, experienced leadership that will rise to the occasion for working families, our communities, and Wisconsin at large.”

    Since getting involved in progressive politics in 2018 after the Parkland shooting in Florida, Coulthard has been active with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, the Democratic Party of Milwaukee County, and various local campaigns focused on good governance and providing high-quality services to constituents. He led the effort to organize college students for the Biden-Harris administration in 2020 amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

    Governor Tony Evers appointed Coulthard to serve on the Wisconsin Higher Educational Aids Board, where he took concrete action to expand access to financial aid for college students and assist families in navigating loan repayment during the pandemic. Since graduating college, following in his family’s footsteps of small business ownership, Coulthard opened a small business that is a member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Coulthard has stood in solidarity side-by-side with labor unions in various strikes and organizing efforts across Wisconsin, including in Appleton, Oshkosh, Mount Pleasant, and in Milwaukee County.
